Friday 1 Aug was my last day at St Hilda's after 6 1/2 years. By the end of the day I was a little bit emotional. I was very proud of myself in that I dídn't cry until Middle School Assembly and I defy anyone to get through a beautful rendition of Amazing Grace without few tears. The fact that it was sung especially for me by the Year 9 students who are choir members and played by two of my Year 9 debaters made it even more difficult; as did the tears some of the girls were shedding.
I consider myself blessed to have been given such a moving and personal farewell. It made my last day very special and one I won't easily forget.
So, here it is Monday and I'm an unemployed bum, for the next few weeks before I head off to the overside of the world to start my new life. I'm very excited, but do leave with a sadness at leaving behind some wonderful young ladies and some very special friends. I promise to visit whenever I find myself in Australia and I do hope that many of you will follow my adventures through this blog and facebook.
To all my friends I encouarage you to grasp each day with fervour and to live the best life you can being the best person you can be, because there is no-one quite like you.
